week thirteen
"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.  People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."
-Mr. Obama tweets Mandela quote after attacks in Charlottesville
where in the world is she now
Feeling isolated, upset, and confused in an a place very far away from where I am normally proud to call home.

explain this
Part of traveling is sharing, in fact, it is my favorite part- 99% of the time. But there are days like today, and years like this year, where traveling and sharing about my home -The United States America - seems impossible.
At a time where I am at a loss for words, I have found myself turning to others in hope that I can connect and begin to understand. I don't think that I am alone in this, so below I've put down some that hit home.

mantra of the week
I am still.
This week I am taking time to be still and think. While my mind naturally wants to plumit in every direction, I am going to focus on calming thoughts.
I am still.

That's all for now buds. Stay tuned for more in the mind of Mary.
Peace be the Journey,
